A Poppie Cotton Christmas: Snuggle Up

A Poppie Cotton Christmas: Snuggle Up

Christmas is such a lovely time of year. There are so many wonderful activities that come along with the season. Parties, pageants and plays, caroling, and gift exchanges – but the quiet moments are magical in these months, too. This week is dedicated to projects that you can snuggle up with.

The first project is from The Red Feedsack. This adorable reversible coat uses an upcoming collection designed by Kenzie Elston: Hey, Love Bug. This collection ships in February!

There's nothing like snuggling up with a cup of tea! This tea cozy is designed by Charise Creats for Stitch Magazine. It's made using several of our favorite collections, including Farmhouse Fancy, My Favorite Things, and Delightful Department Store. To complete the set, the Tea Cup paper pieced mug rugs are made using our Rosy Cheeks and Farmhouse Fancy collections.

The tree is decorated, the stockings are hung, a festive pillow to snuggle by the fire is the best way to complete this holiday scene. Be Mandy Things created this darling Shining Star Quilt Block and Binding Pillow Cover and has a tutorial available here. This pillow is made with our Oh What Fun collection!

These beautiful cookie mats are designed and created by Blue Ribbon Designs. These feature our basics collections Country Confetti and Jailhouse Stripes alongside Rosy Cheeks. The Snowman rug is an adaptation of Belinda's Winter Mug Rug tutorial, which you can find here. The hand stitiched buttons and adorable snowman smile make this rug particularly endearing.
Belinda's Cup of Hot Cocoa tug is based on her Sweet Snacks Mug Rug, which is available in her online shop. There are so many beautiful details to be admired in this project, but one of our favorites is the adorable button marshmallows!

One whole week of snuggly quilted projects wouldn't be complete without a lovely winter quilt. This is Sweater Weather by Melissa Corry. Using a collection of cool Poppie Cotton basics, Melissa made a lap size version of her fat quarter friendly pattern. It's such a lovely winter time pattern and it includes five size options.

Thank you for coming along over these three weeks of holiday preparation. We love celebrating with you! Which projects were your favorite? Let us know on Instagram and Facebook. We're wishing you all of the Christmas joy and a New Year full of peace and sewing.
