Creating has always been a part of me, beginning with crayons and clay in Kindergarten! So naturally, when the time came, I went on to pursue a degree in the arts. Design/Illustration was my focus, and I graduated with a BFA from BYU. I loved to paint! I envisioned becoming a children’s book and editorial illustrator. However, I’ve been enjoying the “scenic route,” which has taken me on many design adventures, including running a custom decorating business, doing small design jobs for the Department of Defense when my husband was stationed overseas in Japan, and most surprising and pivotal path, was trading in my beloved paint for a computer and a mouse. Each stop on this journey has been worth the risks, learning new tools, reinventing myself over and over, building a lucrative career, but most of all enjoying my work and having the satisfaction of seeing my designs on many products. The majority of my work has been in Art Licensing. My illustrations and designs have appeared on paper, stickers, rubber stamps and matching die cut plates, digital dies, fabric, ribbon, embroidery, home decor products, wrapping paper, greeting cards, stationary and more!
I am currently exploring a new tangent, getting myself familiar with tangible supplies again, and look forward to new bends down the path of my future.
