Country Roads Fabric is a tribute to John Denver and his beautiful song “Country Roads take me home to the place I belong”… it includes a soft color palette of pale pinks, whites and deep blues. It combines the beautiful elegance of a variety of flowers, words from John Denver’s song, stripes and small hexies.
Kathleen wanted to try a new technique that she hadn’t done before. She chose to do a quilt-as-you-go herringbone quilt project by designer Maureen Cracknell. You can find a great video class on My Blueprint. This class offers several different projects perfect for beginner quilters.
Kathleen has done a beautiful job of combining all the design elements and colors from Poppie Cottons fabric collection called Country Roads. You can find all the available fabrics here.
We love the contrast of the pale pinks with the navy blues and this herringbone design is perfect for showing off all these cute flower prints.
We are so grateful you joined us for some sewing inspiration that includes the following designers. Please be sure to check back each week to see their fabulous creations!
Happy Sewing!
