Delightful Department Store Fabric Tour with Charise Creates

Hi friends! Welcome back to our Delightful Department Store Fabric Tour where we are celebrating the release of our newest line from Amy Jordan. All month long we will be showing off projects from our makers and today we have Charise from Charise Creates.

Charise made an adorable mini quilt/pillow cover and designed a new Foundation Paper Pieced pattern to go along with these delightful prints! Charise says “I was really excited to get to work with Delightful Department Store!  All the prints are adorable and I love the vintage vibe. Fun fact, I worked as an apparel designer most of my  career so this line is especially appealing to me! I made a mini quilt that is a combination of paper piecing (the dress and aprons) as well as traditionally pieced pinwheels, the “Clothesline Mini Quilt”. The mini is also the perfect size for a pillow and I made a pillow with mine.”

We just love all the details in this project from the FPP aprons and dress to the fussy cut pinwheel blocks and hand stitched clothesline and butterfly!

Delightful Department Store: 1950’S ladies all dressed up for the day and ready to head out on the town. This is going to be a glorious day of shopping, looking at pretty things and having lunch with the girlfriends. There is nothing better than spending a day filled with laughter and good cheer. This beautiful collection has mixed yellows, mints, teals and all shades of pinks to create a colorful color palette. The fabric collection includes 1950’s dresses on lovely ladies, roses, ginghams, tiny tossed roses, receipts for the shopping day and all over flower dots.
