Meet the creative mind behind Sew Mariana, a graphic designer, photographer, and mother of three. Mariana gives it her all to provide detailed and clear graphics, with the mission of making quilting accessible and enjoyable to all skill levels. Her designs are modern and cheerful, ranging from abstract patterns like Overture to more literal illustrations like Dear Deer. Her favorite Poppie Cotton collection is Oh What Fun! by Elea Lutz. Mariana uses her own interests and desires to make her work fun for both herself and everyone who tries it; her travel escapades with family, love for chilly weather and changing trees, alongside years of practice and capturing special moments through her camera lens all come together to help this modern designer bring her vision to life in every quarter inch.

Ali shares with us, "I am an Australian sewist and pattern designer who loves to help other makers creatively and productively thrive in this busy world. I've been sewing for over 30 years now, and have found my favourite things to sew are organizational projects that keep exactly what you need at your fingertips while you sew and travel. My favourite Poppie Cotton line so far has been 'Garden Party' - I adore all the cute fussy cutting options and darling tiny florals!

From Mandy, "I’m Amanda Whisman and creating in the world of textiles is my passion. Beginning in 2017, I have honed my skills over the years, culminating in several quilted items and hundreds of bags. As owner and designer of Be Mandy Things, I make handcrafted bags to help you be the many things. With meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for color and pattern combinations, my goal is to make stylish, yet practical bags for the modern-day woman, and all the “hats” she must wear. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for quilting, and enjoy smaller, quick projects. Currently, when I’m not working as a full-time special education assistant teacher, I’m working on projects and new patterns. After recently releasing my very first bag pattern, I’ve been bitten by the pattern writing bug and have several more patterns planned. My favorite Poppie Cotton line to date is Hide & Seek, with all the fun novelty images throughout the collection.

Hi! I'm Karen Pratt and I run Creamcraft Goods. I'm a self-taught sewist and have been sewing and creating for about 18 years. I love creating things such as bags, pouches and things that are cute and functional. I live in Southern California and I like to enjoy life with my husband and twins (boy and girl). I also love many mediums of crafting such as journal making, cross stitch and embroidery. When I’m not creating I love cooking and baking with my kids and having fun family adventures. You can mainly find me over at my Instagram page via Creamcraft Goods where I share my projects, love for fabric, sewing, and crafting! I'm excited to share my ideas through projects with you!
My favorite Poppie Cotton fabric is the upcoming line – Home Sweet Home by Elea Lutz. It has my favorite theme – home – which is where I’m my happiest and most inspired. It’s sweet, floral, homely, and invokes the childlike memories of growing up and watching my children grow!
This will be a new pattern in collaboration with Poppie Cotton and Karen called Drawstring Tote using Cottage Charm Fabrics by McKenzie Elston.

I first dipped my toes into the sewing pool when my mother taught me embroidery in grade school. Later, as a sophomore in high school, to avoid Choir class, I opted for a Home Economics Sewing class and found my passion. I took every sewing class possible during the rest of my High School years, including a tailoring class. While studying Art emphasizing Fashion Illustration and Interior Design in college, I took every sewing class offered there too.
Over the years, I have sewn just about anything you can imagine from designing and sewing my own wedding dress in the 80’s, Halloween costumes, slipcovers, and drapes. Now I am currently helping my daughter sew her unconventional wedding dress.
Fast forward 45 years later, after retiring early to travel and live on our sailboat for 18 months, this midwestern gal has ended up on the coast of Maine where we gutted and refurbished a little farmhouse. These days, I get to sew 7 days a week.
I found Poppie Cotton with their Dots & Posies collection and have been a huge fan ever since. It’s hard to choose a favorite collection; however, I’m very excited about the projects I’ve made for the upcoming Market Day. As a retired Interior Designer, my favorite projects are smaller home decor items.
I’m excited about all 6 fabric tours I’ve signed up for this year and can’t wait to see what Poppie Cotton has next on the horizon.
We just love what each one of our makers brings to the table! Full of inspiration and encouragement, we are blessed to have such a wonderful team of makers! Stay tuned to meet the rest!
