I'm Debbie from Happy Little Cottage. My cottage is actually a town house in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio that I share with my kitty Niles.
I'm a Mom to 2 and Nana to 2 little boys.
I have been crafty my whole life but started quilting in 2010. I quickly discovered that I love making bags and adore small projects.
The team at Poppie Cotton first shared their Prarie Sisters fabric with me in 2019 and I think that is still my favorite (if I have to choose).
I look forward to stitching more bags and quilts with Poppie Cotton.

Based on a family ranch in beautiful rural Idaho, I am blessed with 4 small sweet children who add zest to life and keep me and my husband very busy. I’ve been sewing for at least 10 years (thanks to my mom insisting I learn the basics even when I initially hated it as a teen), specializing in making dresses for myself and my 2 little girls from vintage patterns. Then after resisting the pull for a while, I finally gave up and jumped into the immense sea of quilting and quilt crafts about 5 years ago, and never looked back. I always have a very long to do list! I love playing with fabric in my sewing room, baking, crocheting, reading, and dabbling in various other domestic arts as I get the chance. I’ve been a professional freelance crochet designer since I was 19, and have also published some quilt and counted cross-stitch patterns. I have enjoyed working with Poppie Cotton so much, since beautiful fabrics and deadline fuel my creativity, and the people are lovely to work with. It’s impossible to pick a favorite line, but Delightful Department Store and My Favorite Things are way at the top!

Mary has been quilting since 2019 but has a love for quilting since she was a child. Her grandmother made the most beautiful things with her hands and now Mary enjoys creating with fabric just like her grandma. She currently lives in Lorena, Texas with her family on their small farm. She enjoys all types of quilting and needlework. Her favorite though is working with scraps and leftover pieces. Her favorite Poppie Cotton collection is ‘Oh What Fun’ by Elea Lutz. She loves Poppie cotton for its whimsical and fun designs, beautiful selvedges and the super soft texture of the fabric. When Mary isn’t quilting you’ll find her playing board games and baking with her family or out in the garden.
