Oh What Fun Fabric Tour With Blue Ribbon Designs

Oh What Fun Fabric Tour With Blue Ribbon Designs

Welcome back to the Oh What Fun fabric tour where we are celebrating the release of Elea Lutz’ newest fabric line. Today we have Belinda from Blue Ribbon Designs who has made some absolutely sweet Christmas decorations. Belinda says “I started by making several wooden hoop ornaments. The little details in this fabric collection spoke to me, so I wanted to make a handful of ornaments with tiny embellishments. The motifs on my ornaments are machine applique that I embellished with hand stitching, beads, buttons, pins, and wool blend felts. Everything is hand or machine stitched (no glue). They are finished in 4-inch wooden hoops with ¾” rick rack attached around the perimeter on the backs and backed with wool felt, gingham ribbon, hangers and bows.” We think these are absolutely the sweetest and hope Belinda will make these into a pattern!

Up next she made a pincushion – the snowflake on this pincushion is machine applique and the trim is hand-dyed vintage lace. It measures 6” x 6” and will be a great addition to her pincushion collection.

And Lastly Belinda created a bunting with alternating banners and trees. The trees have wool blend felt trunks and the stars on top are specialty stick pins. SO cute!

We love how Belinda used small bits from this line and made a whole collection of Christmas décor to make her home extra fun this holiday season. Be sure to read her full post over at Blue Ribbon Designs!

We are half way through our tour and Oh What Fun fabrics are shipping to stores this week! Be sure to follow along and stay tuned for more inspiration and a giveaway coming soon!

Oh What Fun has a vintage vibe that makes us all nostalgic as we reminisce the past with these sweet designs of Santa, skating reindeers, presents, warm winter gloves, socks and hat, Christmas trees, snowmen and gingerbread men. You can smell the kitchen cooking with aromas from your childhood. The designs are tossed and tiny and easy to work with. There is darling plaid in red, cream and pink. Of course, there is a mini flower print and tiny multi colored scattered dots on red, green and pink background colors. There is a panel that offers a wonderful sewing project for anyone wanting to make Christmas tree ornaments and a bunting which says Merry Christmas!
