Poppie Cotton Wins Best Booth Award

Poppie Cotton Wins Best Booth Award

Exciting news for Poppie Cotton at Fall 2018 International Quilt Market in Houston, Texas!!! Going to Quilt Market is a much anticipated event in the world of quilting. Lori and Jina have been preparing designs for the past few months to debut their first collection for Poppie Cotton.

Poppie Cotton is all about beautiful fabric and lovely goods. It is not by chance that Lori Woods and Jina Barney’s paths have crossed. Together they share their passion and joy that come from creating and loving art.

Prairie Sisters consists of 47 prints and is an expression of country chic, meets modern sweetness.

Each print has been carefully selected to showcase the soft, beautiful colors captured from a day on the farm. The names of the prints come from the seven sisters in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers story ... Martha, Sara, Dorcus, Alice, Liza, Millie.

The booth was filled with projects such as quilts, baskets, clothing, pillows and aprons ... and of course, fresh flowers.

Each one of these quilts and aprons has a pattern available and can be found on the website here.

The dark gray sets off the pastel color palette of mints, pinks, reds and yellows. There is also a beautiful panel with a variety of 12 seed packets. You can view the artwork on the left wall below.

Prairie Sisters fabric makes the perfect clothing for both children and adults. Several of the prints are perfect for standing alone and there are also many coordinates to choose from if you need an extra splash of color.

There are cute farm animals in this collection ... chickens, llamas, pigs, cows and sheep. The animal prints mixed with the flowers and ginghams are perfect for anything project that consists of scrappy, farmhouse fun!

Prairie Sisters is the first collection for Poppie Cotton and was a fresh, new surprise for many national and international distributors and quilt shop owners.

This was one of the favorite quilt patterns called Chicken Scratch. Each chicken features a different block for the chicken wing. Every piece of fabric is used in this quilt and can be made with the 10" squares.

Winning Best New Exhibitor Booth was the icing on the cake. Being recognized for all our hard work made us shed tears of joy. We are so grateful to all those who have bought our first fabric collection. We can't wait to show you what's next! Thank you for stopping by to see what's happening at Poppie Cotton!

Happy Trails

Jina and Lori xoxo
