The first block will be the Plus Flag Block. You will be making 8 blocks.
The Plus Flag Block is simplified by starting with the center. Sew the Plus Sign. Then you will sew the sides first then the top and bottom. Make sure you place the larger piece for the bottom. The block is finished by using the stitch and flip method. Draw a line on the wrong side of the background squares. Sew on the line. Trim. Press.
The second block will be the Heart Flag Block. You will be making 8 blocks.
The Heart Flag Block starts by sewing the center heart using the stitch and flip method. Then you will sew the sides first then the top and bottom. Make sure you place the larger piece for the bottom. The block is finished by using the stitch and flip method. Draw a line on the wrong side of the background squares. Sew on the line. Trim. Press.
We hope you are loving this quilt along. Each block is so unique and addictive to make. You get lots of opportunity to perfect skills and techniques. These blocks are small so beware when cutting… measure twice and cut once. Check your 1/4″ on your sewing machine. Whenever you are sewing something small you must be vigilant about your cutting and 1/4″… this will produce the perfect block!
Happy Sewing!!
