Lauren from Molly and Mama has created two different projects to showcase her love of Elea Lutz's latest fabric collection; Home Sweet Home. Both projects use English paper pieced fussy cutting to showcase Elea's beautiful designs.
This fabric is all things nostalgic and lovely. Full of pretty pinks and blues, rich reds and yellows, the designs call back to the most darling vintage cottages, cross stitching, and beautiful little flowers. This fabric truly feels homey, and we know you’ll love to have it in your home too!
The pentagon bowl is an English paper pieced project with a twist. She hand stitched the bowl together but left the EPP papers intact to give the bowl structure and form. To download her free pattern and make your own bowl, sign up here.
Lauren's second project for the tour is a modern and alternative version to her Night Before Christmas Stocking Pattern. Although Home Sweet Home is not a Christmas collection, Lauren used the red and green prints (plus a dash of her favourite pink) to give the project a festive feel that would be right at home in any Christmas decor.
You can find her time-saving hack for this pattern on her blog, where she explains how she uses whole fabrics for the front and back of the stocking instead of patchwork. The result is this quick and beautiful stocking that would make a wonderful gift or be right at home in your holiday décor!
